BDS Tactical Universal Mini GPS Pouch is awesome the materail is very durable and is very comfortable. When you put your 401 in the pouch it is very snug almost like it hugs your GPS. You can touch all your buttons and see the screen perfectly not to mention that it protects your 401 from those bumps and scratches. The standard Garmin wrist band will start to come apart after several uses to the point where you will have to dummy chord the wrist strap to your hand. I have a Garmin E-Trex. It fits perfectly in this pouch that I can wear around my wrist. Having three kids you really need your hands free. This was a neet gadget my husband got for me in order to make Geo-Cashing more fun. It's very adjustable so I can wear it as snug as I want. I just wish they made it in Pink!

Dump the wrist strap that comes with your FT 401. This thing is just as comfy, just as adaptable, and is designed to take a beating. Yeah, it's chunkier than the factory wrist strap, but your spare batteries are right there, and you aren't going to scuff your screen. Just another example of BDS taking something that's already good, and making it epic.
